Diablo Immortal Plot
Players begin their journey in the town of Wortham, which has been attacked by demons and undead. Deckard Cain, whom we know from other Diablo games, tells the players that they need to find and destroy the Worldstone pieces scattered in the Sanctuary to end the chaos surrounding the world. This adventure continues in Westmarch, the game's primary center for trade and social activities, as well as in areas such as Ashworld Cemetery, Dark Wood, Shassar Sea, Mount Zavain, Sanctified Earth Monastery, and the Frozen Tundra inhabited by Barbarian tribes. Game Mechanics and Gameplay
The game was announced by Blizzard in 2018 and was designed as a mobile-only product. When we look at the gameplay mechanics of Diablo Immortal, which was announced to be released on the PC during its development phase, it is quite possible to see that it was designed for the touch screen rather than the console.
Large Player Base

As you explore the world of Sanctuary, your main goal is to collect new loot, go through the dungeons to progress through the main story, and of course, be a good warrior. Since Diablo Immortal is designed for mobile devices, we can say that the gameplay is faster and shorter than PC games. For example, a dungeon in the game can be completed in 10-15 minutes alone or as a group, and inside it is full of countless goods.
Cosmetics and Gears
Set Pieces
Players can use set pieces they find in certain areas to help them develop their characters. In Immortal, sets are comprised of six secondary pieces, in contrast to previous Diablo games. You can use the 3 or 6 pieces in a set for speed improvements and other developments. Set upgrades offer additional bonuses, no matter what your class is. You can also change your character's appearance by purchasing cosmetic items. These changes do not affect gameplay. Each month, Blizzard will release a new set of cosmetics for all classes that is specific to that month. The Battle Pass allows players to unlock any class’s cosmetic sets, while Premium Battle Pass members will have access to portals and portrait frames specific to the month.
Showcase Your Skills
Other cosmetics will be available in Diablo Immortal's in-game store, as well as free cosmetics that can be earned through the game. For example, there will be special and free cosmetic sets for players who manage to get their "Dominance" status to certain levels. These six classes in the game are, Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Wizard and Necromancer. When it comes to switching classes, Blizzard shows that players will be able to migrate their existing characters to a new class and a new visual customization. Even if you do, you can continue to progress through the Paragon level and earn a set suitable for your new class. You will also be able to transfer all your item progress and gems to this new class. When you switch classes, your Horadric Vessels and Helliquary progressions will also stay the same without being reset.
Marketplace and Trade
Is Diablo Immortal Free?
When it comes to Diablo Immortal, one of the biggest questions in mind is "Is the game free?". Yes, the game will indeed be free and will contain optional in-app purchases. You don't have to worry about in-app purchases either, Blizzard is doing everything it can to make sure it doesn't turn into a "pay-to-win" game. Diablo Immortal will be powered by a stream of new gear, features, classes and areas to explore, most of which will be free. In-Game Trading
As for in-game trading, Diablo Immortal will have a marketplace, but Blizzard has already confirmed that it won't have anything to do with real money like Diablo III has. Similar to other games, there will be a limit to what can be released and what cannot be released to the market, and as always it will serve as a great place to find certain materials, additional items and Legendary Gems. Players will also be able to use the market to trade their finds for other in-game currencies, making this a solid way to increase their in-game currency without spending anything.
Is Diablo Immortal Worth Playing?
What Diablo Immortal does differently and much better than most mobile games is that it managed to make the gameplay really enjoyable and fast-paced. This speed will be appreciated by players who prefer more dynamic games like Apex Legends or Fortnite. With other things that the game does well such as the sense of continuous improvement and balanced game mechanics, it is possible to see that Diablo Immortal's years-long preparation phase worked. So yes, we think the game can definitely be given a chance.
