Story
At the beginning of the game, we reach Portia by ship to run a workshop inherited from our character's father. As per the story, we need to make the workshop inherited from our father functional again. To assist the player at this stage, an authorized person teaches you the location of the workshop and basic gameplay mechanics.
Cosmetics
On the start screen of the game, you can customize your character's gender, hair and eye color, and head structure. My Time at Portia doesn't have as many customization options as Skyrim or The Sims 4, but it has enough customization options for a game of this caliber. For this reason, making your character a favorite will increase the enjoyment you get from the game.
Gameplay
The game is based on an extensive crafting system and collecting the necessary materials for crafting. In the game, you will obtain raw materials through activities such as mining, farming, animal husbandry, and fishing. You will use these raw materials in craft areas such as food and furniture. The basic mechanics of the game are based on obtaining raw materials and processing these raw materials and selling them profitably.
There are two ways to earn money in the game. The first of these methods is to sell the items you produce to the vendors in Portia. The second method is to earn quest rewards by completing quests from various NPCs.
Events
The game has its cycle of day and night and seasons. In addition, events with various mechanics take place on certain days in the game. It is useful to participate in these events to earn more rewards or strengthen your relationships with NPCs.
NPCs
There are marriageable NPCs in the game. Each NPC has its own background story and characteristics. Accordingly, raising your level of closeness with an NPC will provide you with various possibilities. For example, you can increase your relationship with each NPC and gain access to their houses or rooms as close friends. If you raise your closeness enough with a marriable NPC, it is possible to marry that NPC!
Technology
In the world of the game, there are two sides that support technology and those that are against technology. If you take the CDs you find during mining to the NPC that supports the technology, it will unlock new crafting items and workshop levels for you. If you need money you can sell these CDs to the anti-tech NPC. He buys these CDs from you to destroy them.
You can use a bus or a passenger animal to travel on the map of the game. While stating that the bus is slow, I would like to add that it is not easy to tame a passenger animal. To tame a mount in My Time at Portia, you need to unlock several technologies.
Finally, if you are logging into My Time at Portia for the first time and you are having difficulty making money in the game, I have some life-saving advice for you. While mining, you will loot more stones than you need. By converting these stones into an item called "stone stool", you can sell them to vendors and get enough cash to solve your problems.
