In the basic logic of the game, the rarer an ore is, the more powerful equipment it turns into. For example, the equipment you make from wood, which you can obtain from anywhere on the map, and the equipment you make from diamond, which you can only obtain from the mines, have different stats.
Co-op and Online Gameplay
One of the factors in Minecraft's popularity today is its co-op and online gameplay. To date, hundreds of servers have been created by people. Since each server has its own rules and its world, players had different experiences on each server. People who are friends with each other, meet in-game, and meet in real life, fighting together for a common goal inevitably popularized Minecraft.
