Lost Ark Review
There are several islands scattered throughout the ocean and each has a variety of things to do. Sailing is not only a mode of transportation but also its own mini-game. You can recruit crews (each with unique bonuses and various rarities), unlock better ships, and face new progression systems.
- Excellent Combat mechanics
- High-quality PvE content
- Perfect optimization with Unreal Engine 3
- Lenghty and tedious quests
- Feels like Pay-to-win
Different Type of an MMO
Missions in the Lost Ark are also straightforward. It follows a strict timeline up until a certain point in the story. You have several options at this point to continue your content search. In either case, you must complete all of the content in order to advance in the game. Regardless, the quest system will appear to be the game's weakest point. The game's fun is consumed by major events such as very general missions (kill this, collect that). There are also a lot of side quests that you can't find. Even if you find those quests, completing them is not enjoyable.
On the story front, the missions' story appears to be quite good. Our main goal is to find the lost Arks. Of course, the story can get much more complicated than that, but that's the general thrust of it. Furthermore, the cinematic scenes that you may come across in the story are of exceptional quality. To get to the final levels in Lost Ark, however, you must do more than just finish the story. It can take a few days of casual play to reach the base level cap of 60. Some people may even be able to finish it in a much shorter amount of time. Furthermore, the level cap is constantly rising.
Lost Ark appears to be attempting to avoid being just another ARPG clone. It appears to be closer to a theme park-like MMORPG experience, with the isometric camera perspective that can be remembered from the Diablo series. The development team claims that they want to build the game's world horizontally rather than vertically, implying that there will be plenty to do. In other words, rather than enriching the ARPG experience, new content that is unrelated to it is being developed. For example, the game recently received an in-game card game (in the style of Triple Triad or Hearthstone). Aside from that, players were given access to a siege-based PvP mode and a Roguelike mini-game. For some players, this will appear to be negative.
Really Fun To Play
You can choose your character class and begin the ARPG experience if you want to ignore all of this content. Character classes, on the other hand, aren't as diverse. There are 12 original classes that have been updated and improved, with more on the way. There are five different main character classes, also they have subclasses. From the first 30 minutes, you can get to your lower class very early. Assassin, Mage, Warrior, Gunner and Martial Artist are the five basic classes. Apart from their own unique abilities, each of these classes has a distinct function called Identity that distinguishes them from the others. When attacking, the Arcana gambling class ID, for example, has a Tarot deck feature that draws random bonuses from a deck. This, however, is insufficient to distinguish character classes.
You can advance your character by first increasing your item level (+1, +2) with new equipment and improvements. In the Tripod system, you can choose from a variety of skill options to learn a basic skill and then advance by selecting upgrades that alter how it works or looks visually. The more time you spend leveling up a skill, the deeper you can go into the Tripod system to upgrade it with bigger and more powerful upgrades. This system encourages you to concentrate on a sufficient level of skill to fit into the hotbar section. Resetting points, by the way, is also compensated.
You'll even have your own island in Lost Ark. You can also court NPCs and invite them to your island thanks to the game's NPC relationships. You can also change the candidate's appearance. Endgame content based on PvE, on the other hand, provides a multitude of options for increasing loot levels. Chaos Dungeons (harder versions of regular dungeons) have unlimited entries for a slow but steady progression. There are also world monsters with additive loot that spawn on timers. PvP can be used to obtain PvE-based gear, though it takes some time. In addition, there is tower content that provides equipment at specific stages.
