There are game modes indicated by four different visuals in the main menu of the game. Survivor vs. When you click on the Demon option, five different gameplay options will appear. Play As Survivor, which is the first gameplay option, allows you to play the role of a survivor in the game.
If you choose the Play As Kandarian Demon option, you must hunt the survivors in-game. Apart from that, if you choose the option in the middle, you will play as real players against a killer with artificial intelligence. If you choose the Play Solo option, artificial intelligence controls both your teammates and the demon. There is also a Private Match option for you to play with your friends.
Missions
The second option in the main menu of the game is Missions. If you choose a game in the Missions category, you will play the scenes that include the stories of the characters. In other words, you must control the main character while playing unforgettable scenes from horror movies or special scenes written for the game. If you choose this option, Evil Dead: The Game will turn into a completely story-driven game.
Game Mechanics
There are classic horror game mechanics such as a life bar, interaction with items, and fight mechanics in the game. In addition to these, there is a fear meter in the game. The importance of this meter is to capture your character. If your fear meter is full, your character will be captured. It is possible to prevent this bar from being filled and lower the level of the bar. In addition, there are a few simple rules that you should pay attention to in order not to fill the fear meter.
Don't Go Into Darkness
The first of these rules is to keep your character away from dark areas. For this reason, you need to find loots that you can use as a light source in the game. If your character stays in the dark, your fear meter will increase. The second factor that increases your Fear meter is that your character moves alone. If there is no other player around, your character will start to get scared by the effect of loneliness. It will cause your character's fear meter to increase.
If your character's Fear Meter has increased, you don't need to worry because it is possible to lower the bar by directing your character to a light source. You can also increase your character's resistance to Fear, making him more immune.
Wait For Your Saviour
If your fear meter is full and your character has become Possession, all you can do is wait for another teammate to save you.
