Cyberpunk 2077 Review
Beginning of the Game
Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person action role-playing game where we control a character named V. It has three different beginnings. In this article, only the path chosen by the writer will be explained. When you first start the game, you can choose three different backstories: Nomad, Streetkid, and Corpo. After making this choice, you need to set the gender and appearance of the main character. If you choose Corpo after setting these up, you find yourself in a company. By completing the task given to you by the company, you complete the starting task of the game. After completing this sequence, you will find yourself trying to make money with Jackie. Whichever backstory you choose, your story will begin to progress in the same way from a point.
- Catchy storyline
- Gorgeous cyberpunk aesthetics
- Three dimensionality of characters
- Boss fights and NPCs are a bit boring
- Optimization and AI issues
The Beginning of V's Story
At one point in the game, Jackie and V get a mission. During this mission, the two must steal a certain chip. However, things go wrong, and V finds himself half-dead in the dumpster. From this point on, it becomes clear that V is about to die. If you continue the main story, you will see V getting closer to death with each passing hour. However, if you aim to have fun in the open world instead of continuing the main story, this feeling will soon disappear.
The Open World of Cyberpunk 2077
Cyberpunk 2077 has two different open-world structures, a city, and a wasteland. You can drive in the city, participate in random events, hunt powerful enemies, and shop. In addition, Cyberpunk's open world is designed not only horizontally, but also vertically. In other words, you can experience action on the upper floor of a building. On the other hand, the wastelands generally represent a horizontally designed open world. However, since the game is out early, you will notice that many doors are designed but most of them are not opening.
Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay Elements
Cyberpunk 2077 offers gameplay in two basic groups, close combat and ranged combat. Melee weapons include baseball bats, katanas, knives, gorilla fists, and impressive weapons like Mantis Blades. You can upgrade your skill tree to use these weapons more effectively. Ranged weapons include basic weapons such as revolvers, pistols, shotguns, assault rifles, and snipers. Among these weapons, you can find those that can pierce the wall or those with guided missiles. Weapons with guided missiles are categorized as smart weapons. The basic principle of these weapons is that the bullet targets the enemies wherever you shoot.
Is Cyberpunk 2077 Worth a Try?
Despite all its bugs and shortcomings, Cyberpunk 2077 has fun gameplay. In addition, the scenes you will see during the story will push you to continue the game. If you want to adventure in a future-themed universe, you should give Cyberpunk 2077 a chance.
